Herman Yau's disturbing story of a violent gambling chef (played brilliantly by Anthony Wong) who runs a reign of terror in his restaurant, where nothing is quite what it seems.
Cannibalism, violent rape, graphic violence and comedy (?!!), it's all here in this astounding Hong Kong classic. Great performances by all, especially Wong who deservedly won Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Often violent, sometimes disturbing, this one is for the strong stomachs out there only. Worth checking out.
The disc contains a "strong uncut" widescreen print and the usual extras (trailers, bios and a audio commentary by Wong, Yau and Wood).
