Hi, I’m Tracey Katz. I’m 41 with a grisly painting in my attic. I’m a freshly single mum with two adorable munchkins who I encourage to question everything and imagine without limits. I live in a small town outside Glasgow, Scotland. I’m convinced that there are cannibalistic hillbillies living in some of the outlying farms, but nobody listens. They just get back to filing their teeth into points and tell me I’ve got a crazy imagination.
One thing I’m rubbish at – sleeping. One thing I’m really good at – reading fast and absorbing everything. As luck would have it, combining both my curse and my talent means I get to review books for Sex Gore Mutants!
My favourite book is House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski. I’d put it square in the horror genre, but I’m sure some will disagree. I have the dedication on the first page tattooed on my left inner forearm – ‘This is not for you’, which means a lot to me, and is handy for fending off pick up artistes in pubs. I also love The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson, which is a strange combination of love, sex, death, reincarnation and self-discovery. Again, I love it so much; I have a huge tattoo of the front cover on my left outer thigh. Am I a book geek? Probably. But I’m an honest one, so who better to recommend reading material? Hope you enjoy reading my reviews; any criticism will be taken on the chin. Any gifts of shoes or chocolate will be gratefully received. Thanks for dropping by.
