The screen grabs below were taken from the new Anchor Bay UK release of 'Dawn of the Mummy'. As you will see the image suffers from a very dark hue - all scans were taken with brightness colour settings at standard reset level and the last image is from a bright daylight scene for fairness, that said all action/gore scenes take place during darkness and some of the scans we took were simply far too dark to be any use. Readers with widescreen or large display televisions will also notice when viewing the disc at home intrusive horizontal video banding lines throughout viewing the movie (which regretably we weren't able to capture in these screen grabs). Although Anchor Bay UK initially claimed they would recall and withdraw the disc from sale they have since decided not to do as you consumers have not complained - we would now strongly urge you to do so. We would also like to point out the we support Anchor Bay in their endeavours and are proud to promote their line but we also feel that they have let down their dedicated genre market base with this release.
